Care instructions

How we grow Alocasia ?
In-vitro plants are acclimated in a Grow Chamber with controlled temperatures and humidity. This indoor setup ensures an easy adaptation to extra-vitro condition, guaranteeing the best conditions for plants in this delicate stage. After this first step the plant is kept inside, and maintained under optimal conditions to ensure strong, healthy growth before shipping.

Lighting:
Provide bright, indirect light. An indoor grow lamp is ideal, delivering around 5,000–6,000 lux from a 6500K light source. Direct sun may scorch the leaves, while low light can slow growth and reduce variegation in patterned varieties.

Watering:
Keep the soil slightly moist, allowing the top layer to dry between waterings. Avoid waterlogging and always ensure proper drainage. Use low-mineral water whenever possible.

Substrate & Growth Management:
Alocasia
thrive in rich, airy, well-draining mixes such as peat, perlite, and bark. Good aeration promotes healthy root development.

Temperature & Humidity:
Ideal temperatures range between 18–28°C. They enjoy medium to high humidity and should be protected from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.

Fertilization:
Feed every 3–4 weeks during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
